PORTFOLIO (pdf)
Márk Bartha is a composer, sound artist, and interdisciplinary collaborator whose work explores the boundaries of sound, space, and perception. He leads the project Ensemble in Limbo, an ‘open-ensemble’ platform for experimental electroacoustic music that combines alternative tuning systems and open musical structures.
Márk’s work examine themes of slowness, transition, and liminality, His recent projects include site-responsive performances, choral spatial works, and installations that blur the line between composed structure and ephemeral sound.
He studied electronic music and media art in Pécs between 2010 and 2013 and is about to enroll in Stockholm’s Royal College of Music (KMH) to study Electroacoustic Composition. He has participated in international residencies such as the V4 Visual & Sound Residency and Culture Moves Europe (2024), and has collaborated widely with theatre and dance companies in Hungary, the USA, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia, and Poland, touring extensively throughout Europe.
